River Valley Asset Management was founded in 2012 by Homiyar Vasania, a former managing director of Morgan Stanley Investment Management in Singapore. Former directors at RVAM include Girish Pamnani, an investment professional with fifteen years of experience at Goldman Sachs Singapore, who was part of the fund management team during 2023-24. Jamshed Desai was a partner and fund manager at River Valley Asset Management from the time of its founding till 2023. He is a value-driven portfolio manager with prior specialist emerging markets experience at Rexiter Asset Management, majority owned by State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), Boston. Anand Ramachandran, a portfolio manager and fundamental investor with extensive experience in global markets at Legg Mason and Citigroup Asset Management, was a partner at River Valley Asset Management from 2016 to 2021.
